Admin Question by AtiaoftheJulii: Should Republican Jim Bunning apologize to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg?
Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.), already in political trouble for 2010, didn’t help matters any over the weekend.
At a Lincoln Day Dinner speech over the weekend, Bunning predicted that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would likely be dead from pancreatic cancer in nine months, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.
The paper reports that Bunning reiterated his support of conservative judges, saying “that’s going to be in place very shortly because Ruth Bader Ginsburg…has cancer.”
“Bad cancer. The kind you don’t get better from,” Bunning went on. “Even though she was operated on, usually nine months is the longest that anybody would live after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.”

Perhaps, but either way, when she does go, Obama is going to replace her with a liberal, not a conservative.
I don’t think an apology is necessary. He did not say anything that is not already well known.
However, I think it is contemptible that he would use Justice Ginsburg’s illness as a political tool. That just shows incredibly bad taste and lack of character.
The only thing he did wrong was openly say that. Yes he should have bit his tongue. But its not taboo to say that when it is a brutal truth.
I still haven’t heard an Obamabot apologize for saying John McCain would be dead before he finished his 4 years if he was the president.
1. He has nothing to apologize for in that instance.
2. I rarely agree with him on anything political.
3. He was a great pitcher for the Tigers and Phillies.
4. He was a better baseball player than senator.
Only if all of the liberals apologize to John McCain for saying he was going to die if elected…Even though he’s in perfect health.

The ‘political trouble’ your article refers to is Bunning’s assertion that the NRSC isn’t properly supporting him, Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn or David Vitter, but instead are backing centrist Republicans like Sens. Arlen Specter and Olympia Snowe.
I guess the media will spin it as they like
Anyway, If you think Bunning wasn’t being PC enough, I hate to tell you this, but…Ted Kennedy doesn’t have much time left either…The Democrats know it, that’s why they’re considering appointing his wife to his seat…Are the Democrats being ‘insensitive’ for already considering Kennedy’s replacement when he just had surgery?…Or possibly, realistic?
Apologize? What for? Does she have cancer? Is it terminal? Yes and yes.
His statement was tasteless and tactless, but factual.
A person shouldn’t have to “apologize” for stating a fact.
